Our start to the 4-day weekend

We started the day by running some errands. One of these was to have a chip in my car windshield replaced. The boys had many questions because we were able to sit in the car as they repaired it.

Brady: "What is that guy doing to our car, Mommy?"
Mommy: "He's patching our windshield so that chip won't turn into a big crack."
Tanner: "What is that guy doing to our car, Mommy?"
Mommy: "He's patching our windshield so that chip won't turn into a big crack."

This is the typical flow of conversation lately. Tanner either doesn't listen unless I'm talking directly to him, he's testing me, or he actually thinks I might have a more interesting response if he asks the questions instead of his brother.

It has been beautiful outside this week, so next on the agenda was a playdate at the park with Laura and Sydney. Sydney is 14 months old and is walking very well! We played for a while, attempted a 3-mile fast-paced walk around the track (we might have made it 1/2 a mile or so), ate lunch at Beck's Prime and played a little longer. As is my usual, I kept the boys out about 30 minutes too long so the day got worse before it got better.

They napped in the car and we went to Mawm's and Pop's house for a visit since Mawm is on Spring Break. The boys waded in the pool, and the water is getting relatively warm! I told Brady that he needs to take swim lessons again this summer if he wants to have any more fun in the pool. (For those of you that don't know...Brady cried at swim lessons last year, and was always trying to negotiate a smaller level of involvement in the lesson with his teacher.)

After the boys decided that the water, in fact, was pretty cold, we went to their neighborhood park. Brady started riding the animals on coils like he was a bullrider. This was complete with buzzer and 8-second count (which he never made) from the audience. Tanner followed, but he always takes it one step further. Brady knew to pretend to be bucked off with a gradual fall. Not Tanner, each fall was hard and extremely dangerous. No permanent damage done.

Of course, I did not have the camera for this. Video would have been better, but that is way beyond my current capabilities.
