Brady, Tanner and I went to the zoo with Ms. Laura, a former coworker, and her son Collin. The weather could not have been better, and the boys played so well together. We did the petting zoo (a first for my boys) and saw all of the highlights- giraffes, lions, zebras, bears. We spent a half-day at the zoo, managed to get out of there without a train ride, and had lunch together at a restaurant near our house. Three boys 3 years and younger and we didn't have any meltdowns!
Saturday, we had yet another night without the kiddos. Tim and I went to Penny's for a very nice dinner with a few of his co-workers. (No, Tim cannot get enough of them.)
Sunday, Tim and I took Brady and Tanner to the livestock show and carnival at the rodeo. The boys enjoyed the animals, but not as much as they did last year. Both liked the kiddie farm, where they feed animals, water plants, reap what they sow and cash it in for a juice box.

They rode ponies and roller coasters! Brady wanted to ride the mechanical bull, but chickened out only after we paid the non-refundable $7. Tanner would not be outdone. He rode everything that Brady did.

We randomly ran into Brady's best friend at school, Kate, and her family at the pig races. We spent a couple of hours with them. Dads rode the ferris wheel with Kate, Brady and Tanner while moms and babies (hers, not mine) stayed on solid ground. Dads also played the carnival game where we were competing for a huge stuffed banana. Moms and Tim walked to the top of the big slide to race. Tim and Tanner won. A few corn dogs later, we made our way home for much-needed naps.
With daylight savings, these much-needed naps didn't come. Also, the boys are having a hard time getting to sleep at night. Finally put the last boy in bed at 10 tonight.
Tim and Jordan are back from a visit to Waco. They went to the Texas Ranger Museum and the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. Big surprise...this is the only information that I can extract from them, and there are no pictures of the trip so you can't see the Teenager!
